I’ve heard, as I’m sure the rest of you may have on TV and the radio (and billboards and in neighbor’s windows, possibly), that the man, Harold Camping, has predicted the end of the world for the third time, tomorrow, May 21st. I frankly don’t believe him. Jesus has said that no man, not even Himself, knows the day nor the hour of His return, except the Father, the Lord God (Matthew 24:36). Anyone who predicts the end’s day (May 21) or the hour (6pm) is lying (not telling the truth).
I bring this up because it’s all over the media. This man and his organization are distorting the Bible’s truth and have been for years. The world will end one day, but it will not be because someone on earth says so. I want people to believe in Jesus as their Savior so they can be saved from eternal judgment, but never at the expense of the truth.
Though I cannot guarantee that the Lord won’t come back Saturday, since as a Christian I believe He can come back at any time, I can guarantee on God’s Word that this man Harold Camping is a liar, and a fraud. I will live ready to go to church on Sunday.
The Bible does not guarantee that the end of the world will happen tomorrow, but there is no better time to believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lived a sinless life and died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose again back to life the third day and now offers you salvation by believing in Him. It is my prayer that this post can open your mind to the truth of Jesus.
Don’t always believe what you see on TV. Instead, believe what you read in the Bible.
